What access does Neo need in Microsoft 365?+
A dedicated app, the Neo SharePoint Connector, with read access to your sites and files. It is separate from the app that runs Microsoft 365 administration, so you can have SharePoint search without granting Neo any admin access.
Can Neo write to or delete our SharePoint files?+
Deletion is never possible. Writing is off until an admin enables it and names the sites, and the per-site grants live in your own SharePoint, so Microsoft refuses a write to any site you did not grant.
How does Neo know which client a document belongs to?+
You map top-level folders to companies. Neo suggests the matches, you confirm them, and subfolders inherit the nearest mapped folder above.
Which files get indexed?+
PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text, Markdown, HTML, and XML, up to 50 MB. Other types are skipped, and only changed files are re-read on later syncs.
Can we revoke it?+
Yes. The grant sits on your tenant, so you remove it at any time in Enterprise applications in the Microsoft Entra admin center.
