NETWORK INTEGRATION

Is it really down? Neo asks Auvik.

Neo finds the device from the ticket in Auvik, checks whether it is really down, when Auvik last saw it and which switch port it uplinks to, and writes what it found on the ticket.

01Capabilities

What Neo does with Auvik.

01
DIAGNOSE

Down, or not?

Neo finds the device by name, IP address, serial or MAC, and reads its online status, when Auvik last saw it and how long its outages lasted.

02
UPLINKS

Which port it hangs off

Neo reads the switches, routers and firewalls the device connects to, on which ports, and whether each port is up.

03
ALERTS

Alerts and inventory

Neo reads open alerts on the device or its uplink, device details, warranty and end of life, and dismisses an alert once the ticket is resolved.

02Workflows

Concrete work Neo handles in Auvik.

DEVICE OFFLINE

Device-down tickets

Neo checks the device and its uplink in Auvik and writes the status, last seen time and switch port in an internal note before a technician opens the ticket.

BILLING

Billable devices per site

Neo reports the billable device days for each client, so you can check Auvik usage against what you invoice.

CMDB

Match ConnectWise configurations

Neo matches Auvik devices to ConnectWise configurations by Auvik device id, serial, MAC or name, and lists the devices with no match on either side.

03Setup

Live in under an hour.

Connect, configure, go. No code, no long implementation.

01

Create an API key

Sign in to Auvik as a user with the API Access Only role, open the profile and click Generate API Key. Note the region in your Auvik address. For Neo to dismiss alerts, give the role Access and Edit on API - Alerts.

02

Save it in Neo

Enter the region, the user's email and the key. Neo checks them against Auvik before it saves, then maps each Auvik site to a PSA company.

03

Turn it on per agent

Pick Read Only, Helpdesk, IT Admin or Full Automation, or set each area and its approval setting by hand.

FAQ

Questions about the Auvik integration.

What can Neo change in Auvik?+

One thing: Neo can dismiss an alert. Auvik's API has no operation that runs a command on a device, pushes a configuration or exports a configuration backup, so nothing Neo sends to Auvik changes a network device.

Does dismissing an alert need technician approval?+

You decide. Helpdesk and IT Admin ask a technician first. Full Automation dismisses without approval.

What credentials does Neo need?+

One Auvik user's email and API key, and your Auvik region. Neo sees only the clients that user can see, and stores the key in Azure Key Vault.

How are Auvik sites mapped to my PSA companies?+

Neo matches each site by its multi-site name, its display name, then its domain prefix, and then with AI. Name matches go straight to your agents. AI matches wait on the Organization Mapping tab for you to confirm. The mapping refreshes on each nightly PSA sync.
